Thanksgiving blues

My daughter had the thanksgiving blues she started to feel sad that all her brothers and sisters were all spending this holiday apart at their new families homes.  She was more heart broken because her father did not even make the attempt of inviting them over for dinner.  We spent it with my boyfriend and his family but it still did not take the place of the memories when they were all at home and we would spend time playing games and cooking together.  I tried to explain that they are all growing up and she too will someday leave and I will only have my memories.
